My 60 dollar stand mixer attachment was a total bust

I bought this cheap pasta maker attachment for my KitchenAid off Amazon for 60 bucks. Used it once to make spaghetti and the whole thing jammed up after a minute. The dough got stuck and the gears started grinding loud. Now the mixer makes a weird clicking noise even without the attachment. Did anybody else have luck with a different brand that won't break the bank?

Oh yeah, same thing happened to my sister's mixer.

Return that thing as fast as you can before the return window closes. The clicking noise probably means the cheap plastic gears shed some fragments into your mixer's drive shaft, which is a whole different headache. Your best bet for under a hundred is the Imperia brand, the metal gears actually hold up through a full batch of dough without grinding themselves to dust.

A buddy of mine had the same thing happen with a cheap mixer, plastic teeth snapped right off and jammed everything up. Took him two weeks to get all the little fragments out of the housing. He ended up just buying an Imperia and it's been running smooth ever since.
