Warning: forgot the salt in a 9x13 birthday cake at 4pm Saturday and the party was at 6
I mixed the whole batter, poured it, put it in the oven, then saw the salt still sitting on the counter and had a small panic in my kitchen in Boise. I ended up making a quick chocolate sauce to pour over the top, and nobody said a word, but has anyone else saved a bake that way or should I have just started over?
