I finally swapped from a French press to an Aeropress for my morning routine

After 3 years of dealing with muddy grounds and bitter sludge, I switched to an Aeropress last Tuesday and my coffee tastes clean and smooth. The difference was the paper filter catching the fine particles that my French press mesh just let through. Has anyone else made a similar switch and felt like a coffee snob overnight?

Friend, I made the same switch last month and now I feel like a total fraud when I see my old French press sitting in the cabinet like a dusty trophy from my bitter coffee days. My first Aeropress cup was so clean I actually checked the mug twice because I kept expecting that grainy sediment bottom that used to make me question my life choices every morning. Now I'm the person who brings my little plastic tube to friend's houses and explains the inverted method like I'm giving a TED talk on rocket science. It's honestly a tiny bit embarrassing how much better my coffee tastes but here I am, smugly sipping my bright, clear cup while everyone else filters their grounds through sheer willpower.

Who knew a little paper filter could make that big of a difference, right?

Totally changes the texture of the coffee too, not just the taste. Makes it way smoother and cleaner, less of that gritty silt at the bottom of a mug.
