Paper invoices just work. No loading screens, no password resets, no surprise price hike every year. You write it, you file it, you find it later. That's it. That's the whole system. Software tries to solve problems that paper never had in the first place. Sure it takes longer to write by hand, but at least the thing does what you need it to do. Your boss might have been onto something.
