My neighbor Deb convinced me gas stoves aren't worth the hype
I was over at her place last Tuesday helping her move a couch and she started ranting about how her induction cooktop boils water in like 90 seconds flat. She showed me how easy it is to clean, no grates or burners to scrub around. Honestly I've been a gas snob for years but after seeing that thing in action I'm kinda shook. Anyone else made the switch and regret it or am I just being dramatic?

Oh man, my buddy Tim made the swap last year and he won't shut up about it. He showed me how he can boil pasta water in like two minutes flat and his kitchen doesn't smell like a campsite anymore. The craziest thing was when he accidentally left a spatula resting on the burner and it didn't even melt because the surface was cool. He's always been a huge gas fanatic too so it really says something.

Oh totally @ivan_murphy80, the spatula thing is what sold ME too. I caught my kid's plastic spoon resting on the edge of my new induction burner and it barely got warm. That and the instant boil is a game changer for sure.

Has anyone else noticed how tech like induction is slowly making the old ways feel kind of outdated? It's like how electric cars are taking over but nobody talks about the little everyday wins. @logan658 you nailed it with that spoon trick, it's those small things that really sell the whole shift.
