Walked through the Denver art museum last Saturday and the silence was louder than any painting

I go there maybe twice a year. This time I noticed hardly anyone was looking at the actual art. Most people were just taking photos of themselves in front of stuff or staring at their phones. The whole top floor had maybe 3 people actually reading the wall tags. Is that just how museums are now or did I miss something?

Ugh yeah it sucks when museums feel more like a photo studio than a place to actually look at stuff.
