My librarian in 7th grade told me to read the books adults want gone and it backfired on her
She handed me a list of 12 challenged titles in Grand Rapids back in 2011 thinking it would push me toward the classics, but I ended up loving Judy Blume and Sherman Alexie so much that I started a little club in the back of the library and got her called into the principal's office, so what banned book actually hooked you instead of scaring you off?
