Why does nobody talk about the parent who got 'The Absolutely True Diary' yanked from our Yakima school in 2023 over one page?
Half the parents at the Yakima meeting said one crude passage makes the whole book unfit for a 7th grader, while the other half said pulling a Sherman Alexie novel about a rez kid who just wants to fit in does more harm than the page ever could, so which side would you have stood on?
