Took me 6 months to figure out why my posts got shadowbanned

I had a Reddit account for over 3 years with normal posts. Then suddenly everything I posted got zero views. No one could see my comments. It took me 6 months of testing to realize it was because I posted a link to my own blog twice in one week. The auto-mod flagged me as a spammer and nobody ever told me. I had to delete that account and start fresh. Has anyone else had a ban like that where the site never even sent you a message about it?

The auto mod usually gives a warning before a full shadowban. Sometimes it's an issue with how Reddit's spam filter works, not the mods themselves. Did you check your account status page while it was happening?
