Warning: my neighborhood HOA banned my security camera post, so I put it on a yard sign
Last month in Austin I posted a photo of a bobcat that killed my neighbor's chihuahua in their front yard. The HOA flagged it for 'disturbing content' and banned me from the group after I pointed out they just didn't want people knowing the coyote problem is real. So I printed the same photo on a 2 foot square sign and stuck it by the mailboxes. Three days later they sent a cease and desist. I took it down but honestly the sign got more traction than the post ever did. My neighbor thanked me because now the whole street keeps their small dogs on leashes after dark. Has anyone else had a real safety warning get scrubbed just because it looked bad for the neighborhood?
