Bought a cheap knockoff trimmer set online and it broke after maybe ten cuts, costing me $60 and a client's trust.
I was trying to save a bit of cash and grabbed a 'professional' trimmer set from a random site, but the blades went dull immediately and the motor gave out mid-fade on a regular who hasn't booked since.

Oof, did the box at least have a cool-sounding brand name like "ProFade Elite" or something? Classic case of the plastic gears turning into glitter after one real haircut. Bet the motor sounded like an angry bee before it quit.

Wait, the gears actually turned into glitter?

Heard about this happening with those cheap clipper kits. Honestly, the plastic internals just grind themselves to dust.
