Client told me my fade line was crooked, took me a week to see it

Last Tuesday a regular at my chair in Detroit pointed at the mirror and said 'that line above your ear is off by a quarter inch.' I brushed him off at first, but I checked with a straight razor guide and he was right. Now I step back and sight down the head from both sides before I finish, has anyone else had a client spot something you stared at for ten minutes and missed?
