My uncle told me to stop using a 000 blade for my final neckline pass

He said it was 'too close for comfort' and would cause more bumps than a 1 guard, which I thought was crazy. After a week of trying his way, I had zero red marks on my next five neck trims. What guard do you guys finish with on sensitive skin?

Ever try a 2 guard instead?

Actually used a two guard on a deck project last summer, which was a total game changer for the tricky angles. Had to cut some weird notches for the railing posts and the regular guard just kept slipping. That extra blade support made all the difference, letting me push through the pressure-treated lumber without any scary kickback. Felt way more in control, you know? Still keep it in the toolbox for any job with thicker stock or odd shapes now.

Yeah, the two guard saved my last project for sure.
