Pro tip: learned the hard way never to skip guard cleaning mid-cut
I was fading a client and my #2 guard got so clogged with product that it took 20 extra minutes to fix the mess. Anyone else deal with buildup ruining a clean cut?

Dude the product buildup is the absolute worst. I had the same thing happen last month with a #4 guard during a taper fade and it left these weird lines I had to spend forever blending out. Now I stop and blow out the clipper every few minutes especially if I know they have a lot of gel or pomade in their hair. It's annoying to pause but way better than having to redo half the cut.

I actually don't mind stopping to clean the clippers that much, it's part of the rhythm for me. Learning to work with product buildup instead of fighting it made my fades smoother over time. A quick spray of clipper wash and a wipe down between passes beats having to redo whole sections any day.

Hate when that happens, @daniel_gonzalez, had the same thing ruin a bald fade once and wanted to throw the clippers across the room.
