Question about clipper oil and skin reactions

For years I just used whatever oil was on the station, but a regular came in with a rash and asked if I'd switched brands. I checked and realized the cheap stuff I'd been grabbing had almond oil, which he's allergic to. Anyone else run into client allergies with their supplies?

Right, checking all the labels now is a must.

So you checked the bottle after he got the rash, but are you going to look at everything else now too? Like, what's in your shaving cream or even the cleaner for your tools? Seems like a good time to check all the labels before someone else has a bad reaction.

Yeah checking all the labels is smart. I had a guy react to some hand cleaner once and it turned out to be the cheap stuff with harsh chemicals. Switched to a basic soap and no more problems. What do you usually look for on those labels?

Did you ever think you had something all figured out and then someone got a rash and it changed everything? Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at now... I used to just grab whatever was on sale without a second thought.
