Rant: My clippers died in the middle of a taper cut (talk about bad timing) and now I'm rethinking my backup plan.

Been there with my Wahl cordless dying at the worst time. Always keep a backup set charged, @phoenix_lewis, because a simple taper turns into a real problem real fast.

Can you finish the cut with scissors?

Do you really need a backup plan for clippers? It's just a haircut. Stuff breaks sometimes.

Had my clippers die mid-fade once, totally get the frustration. What saved me was keeping an old pair of corded clippers in my drawer as a backup. They might not be as good, but they can finish the job in a pinch. Like @phoenix_lewis said, stuff breaks, but for a taper cut, having a plan matters. Tbh, I learned the hard way that relying on one tool is risky for any detail work. Now I always check my gear before starting, and the backup has come in handy more than once.
