Vent: Had to pick between a $70 Andis Master or a $40 Wahl Hero for my first cordless clipper, went with the Wahl and the battery died mid-fade on my third client.
Now I'm stuck with a cord for the rest of the day and it's throwing off my whole rhythm. Anyone got a reliable cordless model that actually lasts more than a month?

It's that false economy trap. You try to save a few bucks up front, and the thing gives out at the worst possible time. I see it all the time with gear, not just clippers. People buy the cheaper version to be smart with money, but it ends up costing more in frustration and replacement. It feels like companies build things to fail right after the return window closes. For what it's worth, my barber swears by his Oster Fast Feeds, but he uses the corded ones to avoid this exact headache.

Man, I've fallen for that so many times. Bought a cheap drill that gave up halfway through putting up a shelf, left me holding a bracket like an idiot. Now I just save up for the good stuff, even if it hurts a little at first.

Watching this happen makes me buy less stuff overall.
