Walked into a shop in Portland and watched the owner fix a fade freehand
I was in Portland for a wedding last weekend and popped into this small barbershop on SE Hawthorne, just to check out their setup. The owner was doing a skin fade on a guy with zero clipper guards, just trimmers and a steady hand, and it came out super clean in like 12 minutes. I asked him how long he'd been at it and he said 18 years, but he still practices on mannequin heads every Sunday. Anyone else ever watch a barber work and pick up a trick that changed how you do your own fades?
