Why does nobody mention taping the neck strip before a skin fade
Been doing skin fades for 6 years and never thought to tape the neckline before the zero guard. Last Thursday a client with a weird cowlick got razor burn so bad he almost walked out. Tried the tape trick on the next two fades and it cleaned up the line in half the time. Anyone else use tape on tricky neck areas or is this just me?
Grabbed some medical tape from the drugstore after reading this and tried it on a guy with a crease right at his neckline. Total game changer for me too. The zero guard just glides over the tape instead of digging into that skin fold, and the line comes out crisp as hell. I keep a roll in my kit now for anyone with a stubborn neck, especially older guys with loose skin. Took me way too long to figure this out, so thanks for posting it.
