Can we talk about the guy who wanted to trade a 'ran when parked' tractor for my labor?
Had a guy call me out to his place near Seguin two Saturdays ago about some fencing work. When I got there, he had a 1952 Ford 8N sitting in a collapsed shed, tires rotted to the rims, and he says he would knock $1,200 off my bill if I hauled it off. I told him I do fences, not tractor rescue missions. He kept saying the motor was free and it just needed a little love, but there was a wasp nest the size of a football under the hood. I walked the fence line, gave him a straight price for the wire, and he went quiet on me. Has anyone else had a customer try to pay them in rust instead of money?
