Rusty tractor tie rod took me 3 weekends to break loose

Been working on a 1952 Ford 8N I dragged out of a barn near Hastings, and the tie rod ends were so seized I snapped two breaker bars before I finally got them off with heat and PB Blaster. Anyone got a trick for stuck steering parts that doesn't involve ruining my knuckles?

I used to be all about the torch and PB Blaster too, figured heat was the only real answer for anything rusted solid. Then a guy at a swap meet in Hastings showed me an impact wrench with a good set of wobble extensions, and it changed how I deal with tie rods and drag links. Instead of fighting it by hand and snapping bars, you let the hammer action rattle the rust loose over a few minutes. Soak it overnight first, then hit it with the impact on low, and most of the time it walks right off without busting your knuckles. Wish I had known that before I turned a simple job into three weekends of cussing.
