That cheap wire brush wrecked my quarter panel before the primer went on
I used a $7 hardware store brush on a 1972 Datsun 510 I'm reviving and it left swirl scratches so deep I had to re-sand three hours of work, so now I'm hunting a proper stainless or brass one, has anyone found a brand that holds up without gouging?

Bought a fancy brass brush once for a different project, thought I was being smart. Thing shed bristles worse than my old dog sheds fur. Ended up picking brass hairs out of the paint for an hour, so I feel your pain on the wrong tool making more work.
