That fiberglass guy in Ohio was right about my fender crack
Last month I was ready to cut out the cracked fender on my 67 Mustang and weld in a patch panel. A guy named Roy over at Hometown Classics in Dayton told me to try the mat and resin repair first, said the metal behind it was still solid. I spent 18 bucks on supplies instead of 140 for the panel, and after 3 hours of layering it holds up fine. Anyone else had a pro talk them out of the more expensive route and it actually worked out?
