Appreciation post: that one trick that actually boosted my small art account

I kept seeing people post art at like 2am and wondering why nobody saw it. I noticed my own stuff got maybe 20 likes if I posted late. So I started tracking when my followers were actually online using the insights tab. Turns out my audience is most active between 6 and 8pm on weeknights. After 3 weeks of sticking to that window, my last post hit over 200 likes for the first time. Has anyone else found a weirdly specific time that works for their niche?

Is consistently hitting 200 likes really that big of a win though? I mean that's cool you found your window but it feels like we're talking about a few dozen extra people seeing your stuff at most. Feels like putting too much stock into a specific time slot when the real game is just making stuff people actually want to see.

Putting too much stock into a specific time slot" - I used to think exactly this. But then I tried posting the SAME video at 10am vs 8pm and got triple the engagement on the later one. It's NOT just a few dozen extra people. When you hit that 200-300 likes consistently, that's the algorithm seeing your stuff works and pushing it harder. Once I found my window, my content started getting suggested more, not just seen by the same followers. It's like the system rewards you for hitting when people are actually there to interact. So yeah, making good stuff matters, but timing is what gets that good stuff seen by the people who want it most.
