Blew $150 on a scheduling tool that made things worse

I saw everyone hyping up this app that auto-posts your content at peak times. Figured $150 a month was steep but I was desperate to beat the algorithm. After three weeks my engagement actually dropped because it was posting stuff at 2 AM on a Monday. I ended up going back to manual posting and I'm still trying to dig out of the hole. Has anyone else had a paid tool totally backfire like that?

My friend wasted $200 on a "viral tweet generator" tool. It just spat out random hashtags. He lost followers because his feed looked like a bot farm. People knew something was off. He canceled after 2 weeks and spent a month rebuilding trust. Sometimes the hype is louder than the actual results.

Three weeks my engagement actually dropped" sounds like you weren't using it right, not that the tool failed.
