Had to pick between posting daily Reels or focusing on longer tutorials and the Reels got me 40 views while the tutorial sat at 12
Spent two weeks doing quick Reels about cleaning hacks and got almost nothing, but one long video breaking down how I deal with stubborn soap scum in bathrooms actually brought in three booking requests, so has anyone else found that shorter content just doesn't work for service based businesses like mine?

Is 12 views really that bad for a first tutorial? I mean, most videos take time to get traction unless you already have a following. The reels might have flopped, but 40 views is still nothing in the grand scheme.

Short form content is a different game entirely it's about getting in front of new eyes fast, not converting right away. Reels have a way bigger potential audience than tutorials if the algorithm actually picks them up. 40 views could just mean you posted at a bad time, not that the format is dead.

Dude, same thing happened to me when I started doing videos for my outdoor work... I kept pumping out these quick 15 second clips thinking they'd go viral or whatever, and the best one got like 50 views after a week. Then I did one long video showing exactly how I break down a big job step by step with the client watching, and that thing is still bringing in messages months later. The short stuff feels like shouting into a void while the longer ones actually prove you know what you're doing... people who need a service want to see you can handle the mess before they trust you with their money.
