Just wasted 4 days chasing a reach drop on Instagram
Turned out my caption had a random invisible unicode character from copy-pasting a quote and the algorithm just refused to push it - has anyone else had hidden formatting ruin their numbers?

4 days gone over a ghost character nobody can even see. That's the kind of thing that makes me want to throw my phone into a lake.

honestly the "nobody can even see" part is what gets me. if it was some main character with tons of screen time itd be one thing, but a ghost? nah. 4 days over nothing, i get wanting to yeet the phone.

See, I gotta disagree a little here @valc91... sometimes the things you can't see end up mattering the most. A ghost character can set the whole mood of a scene even if they're just mentioned in passing. Think about how in Lost they kept talking about Jacob long before he ever showed up, that guy was basically a ghost and people spent years arguing over him online. Or in a horror game like Fatal Frame where the whole story revolves around ghosts you barely glimpse, the mystery is what hooks you. Four days might sound like a lot but if that ghost thread ties into something bigger down the line, it's time well spent building that foundation.
