My 3am post got 10x the reach of my usual noon posts, I was wrong about timing
For two years I scheduled everything for 12pm EST because every 'best time to post' guide said lunch hour. Last Tuesday I couldn't sleep, threw up a rough draft at 3:15am just to clear my head. By morning it had 400 shares. My normal noon posts get maybe 40. Checked my analytics across 6 weeks and every single post between midnight and 5am outperformed daytime ones. Maybe night shift people actually engage instead of just scrolling. Anyone else seen weird off-hour spikes that contradict the charts?

...and here I thought my 3am posting was just me being a hot mess who forgot what time zone I live in. Turns out my insomniac brain was onto something. Same exact thing happened to me last month, I posted a half-baked rant about my neighbor's dog at 4:20am and it got more comments than anything I'd put out in weeks. Maybe we're all just catering to the night owls and zombies who actually have time to read instead of the lunch crowd who scroll past everything while eating a sad desk salad. At this point I'm honestly tempted to just schedule everything for 2am and sleep through my own success.
