One comment about my captions changed how I write every post now
Last month a follower told me my photos were great but my captions felt like a robot wrote them, which stung because I thought I was being clever. Turns out I was stuffing in keywords and hashtags so hard it read like a press release. Now I write the caption first, like I'm texting a friend, then go back and add one or two tags at the end. My engagement actually went up about 30% in three weeks, which was way more than any scheduling trick ever did. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you strip back your whole approach?

30% is a solid jump, but I'd push back on calling the old captions a total loss. Keywords and hashtags probably helped you get found in search, which is why people saw the posts at all. The fix was balancing the robot stuff with a human voice, not stripping it out completely.

Ha! That's kind of like how everyone talks about salt in cooking now. We all went through a phase where we thought piling it on made things better, then somebody points out it's just salty, and suddenly you're tasting every ingredient for real. Anyway, glad the balance worked out for you, that's the whole dance I guess.
