That time my Instagram reel got zero views for 6 hours straight
I was sitting at a coffee shop in Brooklyn last Tuesday, posting a reel I spent like an hour editing on this vintage camera angle. After 6 hours, it had literally 0 views, not even from my own account. Turns out I accidentally set the video to 'private' in the settings before hitting publish, which I didn't even know was a thing. Has anyone else had a dumb settings glitch kill their post right out of the gate?

I gotta push back on saying it was a "settings glitch" when it was really just user error. You said you spent an hour editing, but you clearly didn't double check the privacy setting before hitting publish. That's on you, not the app. Instagram makes that setting pretty clear if you actually look at it before you post. I've made the same mistake myself rushing to get something out, but I don't blame the glitch.

Well @carter.joseph, you ever accidentally leave your garage door open all night and blame it on the remote? Same thing, right? I spent an hour editing a post for a friend's wedding photos and must have bumped the audience setting while scrolling through filters. It's like hitting send on an email without the attachment - you know better, but you still do it. I guess we all learn the hard way that Instagram's settings aren't as forgiving as we'd like.
