Thought I'd cracked Instagram reels after 3 months of testing, but my views actually dropped 40% when I changed nothing.
Turns out the algorithm just hates consistency after a while, so I'm trying a completely different posting schedule this week - has anyone else seen their numbers tank for no obvious reason?

Time of day barely matters. It's the content shift that helped.

My buddy had the exact same thing happen with his travel page around month 4. We tested just posting at 6:30am instead of 8am and his views doubled in two weeks. I went through a similar slump and realized my content had gotten stale without me noticing. Swapped out my usual coffee shop shots for some behind the scenes clips and engagement shot up overnight. Sometimes the algorithm just needs to see you try something new before it pushes you again.
