Took me 3 full days to realize Instagram was shadowbanning my reels for using trending audio

I kept posting reels that got zero reach even though my hashtags were solid. Finally checked my account status and saw I had a restriction flag from using a song that's supposedly licensed. Has anyone else found a way to check for this before you waste a week of content?

Yeah that happened to me too and it drove me nuts. I started audio checking by searching the song name plus "Instagram licensed" on Google first. If I see any reddit threads or articles saying people got flagged, I just pick another track. Also, I always upload my reels as drafts first and wait a few hours to see if the audio stays or gets muted. If it's gone, I delete and choose something else. Saved me a ton of headaches.

Oh yeah that sucks. Check your account status tab under settings BEFORE posting anything.

Oh great, so I need a permission slip from my own settings tab now, classic.
