Tried posting at 3am on a Tuesday and my reach tripled overnight

I was up late editing and figured why not hit publish on a random Tuesday at 3am. Got triple the usual views in 6 hours with zero hashtags. Has anyone else seen weird timing wins like that?

The algorithm probably refreshes around that time and picks up fresh content with less competition. 3am hits the overnight shift workers and early risers in other time zones too, so it's not just one crowd seeing it. That sweet spot might be kicking your post into a second wave when the morning crowd logs in. Smart move if you can keep that timing consistent.

Totally agree with you @morgan_king36, I've had the same thing happen a few times where a post I dropped around 3am just blew up way more than anything I posted during the day. That second wave theory makes so much sense now.

Had a buddy who runs a small gaming channel try this exact thing. He started dropping his Let's Play videos at 3am Pacific time every Thursday. First couple weeks nothing crazy happened, then one of his Hollow Knight videos got picked up by the algorithm and hit like 40k views in two days. He swears the 3am window let it sit with zero competition for a few hours before the morning crowd hit. Now he sets alarms to post at weird hours and his engagement went up like 30% across the board. His wife thinks he's crazy waking up at 2:45am to schedule a post, but the numbers don't lie.
