One manager's comment about 'reply all' saved my inbox after 4 years
I used to CC everyone on every little update. Thought it showed progress. Then a senior ops director pulled me aside after a project review and said, 'Every time you hit reply all, you are asking 40 people to do work.' That hit different. Now I only include people who actually need to act, and I use the BCC trick for FYI stuff. Cut my email volume by maybe half and nobody missed anything. Has anyone else gotten feedback that sounded small but flipped how you communicate?
