Warning: I answered a fake IT survey at my office in Dallas and now my work Slack is full of junk
Last month I filled out a "quick IT feedback survey" that came through my work email because it promised a $25 gift card. Two days later my inbox got flooded with 60 spam messages and someone tried to reset my password three times. I called real IT and they said the survey was never from them, it was a phishing test that I failed. The worst part is the fake link used our actual company logo and my manager's name, so it looked totally real. Now I have to sit through a 45 minute training video on spotting fake emails, has anyone else gotten hit by one of these office phishing tests?
