My garage fridge opened a portal to 1987, milk was 35 years expired

So I went to grab a soda from my parents' old garage fridge last weekend in Columbus, and inside was a half gallon of milk with a sell-by date of March 1987. My dad swore he cleaned that thing out when we moved in 1999. The weird part is the fridge still runs cold, so maybe it's been preserving some kind of time capsule this whole time. Has anyone else found random ancient food in an appliance that should have been tossed decades ago?
