My grandpa's 1970s weather theory predicted last month's storm pattern

He kept journals since the 60s. Tracked jet stream shifts and magnetic field wobbles. Said they sync up every 40 years. Showed me his charts from 1982. Spots matched what happened in Colorado last month. Anyone else got old relatives with weirdly accurate predictions?

My buddy's dad swears by his knee pain predicting rain within 48 hours, claims it's never been wrong in 30 years. Last month it started aching real bad and sure enough a big front rolled in two days later. I'm not saying your grandpa's theory is legit or anything, just that old folks have their ways.

Woah hold on, I gotta push back a little on this one. I mean, yeah, it's cool your grandpa tracked all that stuff, but weather patterns are super chaotic and random. Looking back and finding a match after the fact is kinda like finding shapes in clouds everyone's brain does that. Plus the 40 year sync thing sounds like he saw a pattern that wasn't really there because we all love neat numbers like 40. I'd need to see his prediction written down before the storm hit, not just matched up after, to really buy it.
