Question about telling my kid the truth on Santa vs letting it ride, where do you all land?
My 8 year old asked me point blank in the car outside a Target in Dayton last month, and I had to pick between making up a story about the North Pole or just telling her straight. I went with the truth, and she took it way better than I feared, though she did ask why her friend Maya still gets presents from him. Curious how the rest of you handle the line between a fun myth and a lie that outlives its use. Does keeping the story alive for a few more years count as a kindness or just a delay?
