That storm chaser's math about tornado deaths in Arkansas changed my whole view on disaster prep
He said 90% of the deaths in the 2011 Joplin tornado happened in rooms with windows, so I moved my bug out kit to the bathroom and started taping a $20 NOAA radio to the doorframe, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has actually tested a shelter spot during a real warning or just trusts the stats like I did before that conversation.
