Pro tip: I finally started using a shared spreadsheet for group dinners and my life is easier
For about five years I was the guy who just threw down his card at every group dinner in Austin and then chased people for Venmo later. It always turned into a mess, like when my friend Mike owed me $47 for three weeks and kept 'forgetting.' Now I put the total and each person's share in a shared Google Sheet right at the table, and everyone pays before we leave. Does anyone else have a system that actually gets people to pay up without it feeling weird?
