Am I the only one who just found out 'The Office' originally had way fewer episodes per season in the UK?

I was reading a random article on my phone last night and it said the first UK series only had 6 episodes total, which is wild when you think about how we binged 9 seasons of the US version in like a week back in college.

Yeah, my friend was so mad when he found that out... he binged the whole UK run in a weekend and was just left staring at his screen. He kept saying, "that's it?" like @gibson.morgan just pointed out. He had to go online and read a bunch of fan theories to get any kind of ending. It's wild they built up that whole world in just 14 episodes.
