Got stuck inside for a whole weekend and tried a show my cousin kept pushing on me.

It rained nonstop from Friday night through Sunday here in Portland, so I just gave in and started 'Severance'. I watched all nine episodes in about two days, which I never do. The weird office rules and that scene with the baby goats had me hooked. What's another show that pulls you in that fast?

Hated sci-fi until The Expanse got me.

Got stuck watching the first episode of some old black and white sci-fi movie from the 50s once. The entire plot was just a guy in a tin foil suit talking to a cardboard box. My buddy kept saying it was a classic. Took me years to even try The Expanse after that nonsense. It finally showed me the genre could actually make sense and have real people in it.

Yeah, "the good stuff" is out there, but I wonder if some people just need the right gateway show for the genre to click.
