I found out The Wire only had 60 episodes total, not the 80 I assumed

I was reading the Wikipedia page for The Wire last night and saw it ran just 5 seasons with 13 episodes each. Has anyone else realized a show they loved was way shorter than they thought?

Yeah, that "way shorter than I thought" thing hit me hard with Firefly. If you binge watched shows like I do, always check the total before you start so you're not shocked when it suddenly ends.

@aaron_mitchell That "cruel joke" part is exactly right, especially when you get invested and there's nowhere to go.
