I thought skipping the pilot was smart, then my buddy in Reno called me out
I used to start every show at episode 2 or 3 because pilots felt slow and info-dumpy, and I bragged about it for a long time. My friend in Reno finally asked why I kept asking who half the characters were, and I had no answer, so I went back and watched the pilots of 4 shows I had binged. Now I want to know, does anyone actually skip pilots on purpose or was that just me being stubborn?

Wait, you watched the pilots of FOUR shows after binging the whole thing and still had to ask who half the characters were? That part is wild to me. And your buddy in Reno had to point it out before it clicked? I get skipping a slow pilot here and there but doing it as a rule and bragging about it is a whole other level.
