My $8 a month for the ad-free tier of a streaming service is the best money I spend
It cut my binge time in half because I'm not sitting through commercials. Anyone else find a small upgrade that made a huge difference?

Switching to an ad-free music app was a game changer for me. It just makes the whole experience feel smoother and less broken up. That small fee is totally worth the peace of mind.

That eight dollar price point does raise a question for me. Is that price locked in or is it the introductory rate that jumps up after six months? In my experience, those teaser prices are common and the real cost ends up being double or more. The ad fatigue is real, no argument there, but that cheap deal sounds almost too good to stay that way. Did they show you what the normal price is after the promo period ends? Your mileage may vary, but I'd double check the fine print before getting too comfortable.

Wait, your ad-free tier is only eight bucks a month? Where is this magical service? I'm paying almost triple that just to skip ads. @sean854 has it right about the peace of mind, but at that price I'd sign up in a second. My current bill feels like a punishment for wanting to watch one show without a car insurance jingle blasting every ten minutes. How did you find a deal like that?

Right? My old plan had the same annoying car ads every break. It got to the point where I'd mute the whole stream just to avoid that one jingle. Paying extra felt like a tax on my sanity. Eight bucks is a steal for actually getting to watch your show.
