Picked 'The Americans' over 'Justified' and now I'm questioning my taste

I had two days off last month and couldn't decide which show to start. Went with 'The Americans' on a friend's recommendation. Watched 8 episodes straight and felt like I needed a shower after all the lying and tension. Should I switch to 'Justified' or stick it out for season 2? Anyone else struggle with picking between two critically loved shows?

Yeah man, it's like picking between a gym membership and a beach vacation - both are good for you but in totally different ways. Sometimes you just gotta sit with the choice and see which one's actually hitting right for where you're at.

Got to admit, I used to be a "Justified all the way" guy until a buddy made me sit through the first season of The Americans last year. Thought it was gonna be slow and boring compared to Boyd Crowder's antics. Boy was I wrong. That show digs into you deeper than any shootout ever could. The tension isn't just action, it's the weight of every lie they carry. Stick with The Americans, because season 2 flips a switch that makes everything click.

@wade250 nailed it with that gym vs beach vacation comparison, that's basically my entire personality in a nutshell when I'm trying to pick a show. But hey, at least both options keep you from having to talk to people at parties, right?

Not gonna lie, I watched both and I'm not sure it's that deep. The Americans is good but people act like it's some life changing experience. It's a spy show with good acting, not a therapy session. @wade250 said it better, sometimes you just gotta pick what fits your mood. I liked Justified more because it didn't pretend to be this heavy thing every episode.
