The bartender who ruined my weekend marathon with one comment

Last Saturday I was at a dive bar in Pittsburgh, three episodes into a slow burn crime drama on my phone, when the bartender set down my soda and said, "You know the killer is the sister, right?" I hadn't gotten there yet, episode 4 of 10. She had watched the whole thing the previous week and figured it was fine to spoil because it was "so obvious." I sat there for a minute, phone frozen, and then just closed the app. Can't even blame her, it was a busy night and she was trying to be friendly. But now I have this weird rule about watching anything in public, even with earbuds. Has anyone else had a stranger casually drop a spoiler on you and completely kill the momentum of a show?
