Unpopular opinion: I spent $80 on a streaming service for a show that was a total letdown

I signed up for that new 'Starstream' service for $20 a month just to watch 'Chrono Rift'. The trailer looked epic, but after four episodes, the plot was a mess and the acting was rough. I kept the sub for the full season hoping it got better, but it never did. That's $80 down the drain for a show I couldn't even finish. Has anyone else felt totally burned by a show that had amazing previews but sucked?

You just need to cancel after the first month if a show sucks.

So you cancel after one month. What about shows that start strong then get terrible in season 3? You're locked in for a year by then if you forgot to cancel.

Forget the monthly cost, the real burn is the time you can't get back. I watched a whole season of some space show because everyone said the ending was mind blowing. The ending was trash and I wasted like twelve hours of my life on it. Now I'll watch three episodes max before I quit, no matter how good the previews looked. That $80 hurts, but those lost hours you could have spent on a good show sting way worse lol.
