Why does nobody tell you the first season of The Wire is the hardest to get through
I put off watching The Wire for like 5 years because every time I started episode one I fell asleep and figured it just wasn't for me. Last month my roommate bet me 20 bucks I couldn't finish season one in a weekend and I made it to episode 4 before something clicked, the whole thing is a slow burn on purpose. Now I'm halfway through season 3 and mad at myself for all that time I wasted on random Netflix junk that I forgot about the next day. Did anyone else almost quit this show early and end up hooked, or am I the only one who needed a bet to push through?
