A guy at the Rocky Mount forge meet told me my quench tank was too small and I blew him off

Watched him pull a 1084 blade straight and warp-free out of a 4 gallon tank while mine came out of a coffee can looking like a banana. Went home and cut a 55 gallon drum down to 8 inches deep that same weekend. What depth are you all running for blades over 9 inches?
